Endorsements for the Centre for Peaceful Restoration, Recovery and Recuperation

“Please allow me to renew my condolences on the sad loss of your son Dale.  We owe him and his brave colleagues our eternal gratitude.  It was very good to meet you at the Service of Commemoration.  I find the energy and commitment you have put in to supporting others in their time of need truly inspiring.”

Dear friends, we are delighted to announce that we have secured a rental agreement on the perfect venue for our Centre and may now begin the process of complying with all legal requirements prior to opening this Centre and offering restoration, recovery and recuperation to all those in need.

Whilst primarily aimed at supporting those brave souls and their families, who have given and sacrificed so much on behalf of us all, this is very much a community based project for all people to enjoy and be part of in whichever way they choose.

This website provides details of events which are planned for general enjoyment, the Volunteer opportunities, World Peace Meditations and our Information Pack outlining our proposals in more detail.

Please do contact us on E: centreforpeace@centreforpeacefulrestorationrecoveryandrecuperation.org.uk follow us on Face book and Twitter and look out for our Newsletter soon to become available for updates and special events.

We thank you all deeply for your support and encouragement as we begin this journey to see this Centre evolve to its full capacity supporting all those in need of restoration, recovery and recuperation. Amen.

The Equine Programme; Healing Hearts with Horses, will work to build on the ancient relationship between man and horse to ease pain and trauma, and assist in bringing balance and a sense of well-being to all those involved with this aspect of the Programme.

A 12 Core Element Programme is available to support the recovery process of all those in need of restoration, recovery and recuperation especially those brave souls, and their families, who have sacrificed and suffered so much on our behalf.

All people are welcomed to enjoy evening events, Open Days and spend time in the beautiful ambience to be experienced here, to gain a sense of peace, restoration, recovery and refreshment.

This much-needed Centre is the project of a dedicated team of 4 Core people; Katy, Pat, Fleur and Lindsay who have witnessed first-hand the continuous effect that the devastation of global conflict continues to impact on the daily lives of all concerned.  It is their dearest wish to see this Centre established and operational as soon as possible to allow the recovery process to support all those in need of restoration, recovery and recuperation to begin.

Donations are welcome whether they are of time, skills, and financial and please see further details on our Volunteer List …

Further information can be found in our Information Pack – please read more on our Information Pack page.

If you have any questions or suggestions or would like to know more, please contact us via E: centreforpeace@centreforpeacefulrestorationrecoveryandrecuperation.org.uk or via the Contact List.

The Core Team have worked closely with all relevant agencies and continue to make connections with key people, local businesses and potential backers and charitable trusts to ensure this exciting and much-needed project commences offering restoration, recovery and recuperation to all those in need as part of the overall plan for peace on Earth at this time, and we thank you all deeply for your interest, support and potential involvement at this Centre from its very start through to its full potential for peace for all those in need.

Thank you.

How This Centre Will Help Those In Need

A Personal Account from a Bereaved Mother –

“This Centre for Peaceful Restoration, Recovery and Recuperation that we are going to establish is a place that has been needed for a long time. It will be the first of its kind and it is hoped that other Centres for Peaceful Restoration, Recovery and Recuperation will eventually be set up.

The needs to be catered for by this Centre are diverse. There is nowhere in this country as yet that is designed to meet these needs full on.  It is not a “rehabilitation” centre in the normal sense of the word but it will offer people who are desperately seeking a form of solitude, along with practical support, by trained personnel a chance to have “time out” from the demands of such a busy world and therefore enable them to return to their everyday life feeling refreshed and rejuvenated both emotionally and physically.

When I lost my son Tam in 2009 due to the conflict in Afghanistan there was very little help available to me. Only counselling. When you have been so emotionally, spiritually and physically drained you need more than that.

I admit there were days, lots of days, where I felt that life was such a struggle. I felt I had nowhere to turn to that could help me regain my zest for living and lift me out of the blackness that was starting to envelop me.

Had this Centre for Peaceful Restoration, Recovery and Restoration been available then, it would have helped me greatly.

The many specialised programmes including Equine therapy will ensure that there is something for everyone.

It will give people a sense of well-being and afford them the chance of regaining what they have lost and the feeling of being at one with nature, and the simple basic need of being in control of their own lives again.

So many people with so many different needs will be helped once this Centre becomes established.

Helping to get this project of the ground has been very beneficial to me personally as it has given me a sense of purpose. I know that we are going to be helping so many people who have been affected one way or another through global conflict and the many who will continue to be affected in the years to come.”

Linda B

In support of the Centre

I feel it an honour that I have been asked to provide a few words regarding the establishment of the Centre for Peaceful Restoration, Recovery and Recuperation.

I have known Lindsay for about ten years and the other members of the team, Katy, Fleur and Pat, for about two years.  It was during 2012 that early signs of something new began to emerge.  At that time it was not clear as to what was taking place or how the project would materialise.  I have maintained close contact on the fringes, watching what has developed over that time.  It became evident that each member of the team has had to deal with difficult life experiences and slowly it was interesting to note how those experiences have been brought together, thus offering a broad spectrum of support which will be available at the Centre.

The team have spent many hours addressing the way forward and I can vouch for their dedication, integrity and seeking of spiritual guidance towards bringing this project into full operation.  From personal experience and obstacles encountered in working with deceased war victims who have been unable to release their attachment to this physical environment (mainly due to lack of awareness associated with the multi layers involved in the continuity of life) the importance of addressing traumatic events from this life cycle whilst still occupying a physical body have become evident.  The Centre will be a place where such traumas can be addressed with understanding, together with offering time to reflect and share mutual experiences.

I see the Centre as a unique venture shining a light towards ‘The Way of the Future’ in respect of healing beyond what is generally available elsewhere.  It is caring to address the symptoms – it is imperative to heal the cause.

“Service culture is not good for teaching people how to heal themselves relying mainly on the ‘get on and do’ mentality which, for mental health issues can be like putting a sticking plaster on an amputated limb.

This Centre, with the use of its various techniques, will provide a pathway to better health both physically and mentally. It’s not a weakness to learn new skills and expand your understanding of yourself if it helps to improve the way that you function on so many levels.      You won’t know until you try it.”
